Background on Angelic Anarchy

Angelic Anarchy has been in the making for a few years now. I’ve always loved reading and writing. Any genre of book is a good one. I read constantly on my e-reader but there is something about turning to the next page in a paper or hardback book that is so exciting.

I used to get these ideas for my own books all the time...The ideas would stay with me constantly...haunting me. I got the idea for Angelic Anarchy early in 2012. I thought about it all the time. That summer I decided to start writing what I had just to get it out of my head. I loved writing it. I was enraptured with my ideas coming alive through the words I typed. After I had a couple pages I read it to my husband. He loved it. He wanted to hear more. I was so excited he liked it because I didn't want to stop writing. He encouraged me to follow through with it.

At that time, I was a fulltime stay-at-home mom to a 3 year old & a 1 year old. I was also a full-time student at night pursuing my accounting degree. Angelic Anarchy kept getting put on the back shelf so I could focus on school. It would stay with me though and I'd open it back up and start writing again when I could. I worked on it for the next two years continually hitting good steady periods of writing and then stopping for weeks at a time. Gradually my word count climbed...30,000, 50,000, and 70,000. In 2015, I went back to work and I knew it was likely I'd never finish it.

I couldn't bear the thought of all my time and energy going to waste. I poured a part of myself into my manuscript and I was determined to see it through—if for nothing else but for myself. So, I gave myself a deadline. I had given myself goals before but never a deadline. It worked. I finished it the day of my deadline. Once the manuscript was finished I didn't know where to go from there. Over the next several months I searched for an editor and here we are now...getting ready for the release of Book 1 this fall!
